Over 3000 applicants tried to get their home made flying machines into the Flugtag... Only 36 teams were allowed to take flight... well sorta. The basic object is to create a flying machine that you launch off a 30' high runway into Tampa Bay. Whoever flys the longest wins. Most flights aren't very far! On Scene for this was over 100,000 people watching in boats, on shore, and even on top of buildings... At the end of the day, it was the Tampa's Baywatch with a 109' flight that earned them the Top honors. Congratulations to all the teams for an awesome Red Bull Flugtag in Tampa Bay. Also in the convention center was a anime show.
